On behalf of the board of your CUE (Columbia University in Entertainment) network, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We have lots of great things in store for 2014.

But first, THANK YOU for helping CUE deliver on its most ambitiously programmed year ever!

We are humbled by your enthusiasm and grateful for your continued support. Here are some highlights of the events CUE proudly hosted in 2013:

Our first ever Alumni Screenplay Showcase at United Talent Agency in Beverly Hills.

The event, which packed the agency's theater, celebrated the work of winning writers (Jessiline Berry SOA '07, Abdi Nazemian CC '98, Daria Polatin SOA '07, Jonathon Roessler SOA '07 and Jon Stahl CC '00,) featured numerous alumni actors and directors, and culminated in a lively and celebratory reception for all.

A private screening of Nebraska on the Paramount lot, followed by a special Q&A with producer Albert Berger SOA '83.

More installments of our intimate Roundtable Series -- an opportunity for candid conversation with alums in various roles in the industry. 2013 Roundtables included our Screenwriting Roundtable with Black List honorees Jack Paglen SOA '06, Harry Kellerman SOA '07 and Roberto Bentivegna SOA '10 and our Directing and Producing Roundtable with Patricia Riggen SOA '03 and Ben Odell SOA '04.

Alumni and graduating artist community-building events including the Actors' Meet and Greet, a Welcome BBQ for Filmmakers and Screenwriters, and the LA CUFF after-party and after-after party.

Social and networking events with Brown, Northwestern, Stanford and Dartmouth including a mixer in Brentwood and a Pub Trivia event in Miracle Mile.

And of course, our annual Holiday Party at Beso Restaurant in Hollywood. We hope you will join us again in 2014, as we plan another slate of fun and productive programming for our fellow Columbia alums in entertainment.
