8th Annual Holiday Party
Wednesday, 10 December 2014 08:25
It's time for the 8th Annual Holiday Party on Wednesday, December 10, 2014!

RSVP here!

Please note there has been a VENUE CHANGE for this Wednesday's Holiday Party.

With the popularity of last year's event and the RSVP numbers for this year, we've decided to move to a larger venue - Hemingway's Lounge & Bar (next door to Beso Restaurant).

6356 Hollywood Blvd., 1st Floor
Hollywood, CA 90028

Just off the bustling star walk of Hollywood Boulevard lies Hemingway's, an exclusive lounge that's lovingly dedicated to Papa. The restored historic storefront leads into a breezy indoor/outdoor foyer decked out in vintage chairs and impressionist art. Beyond that waits the main room, an impressive space featuring tin ceilings, soaring archways, antique crystal chandeliers, and over ten thousand books stuffed onto towering floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.

Literary partiers can peruse the shelves or check out the collection of fifty-seven vintage typewriters, each containing a sheet of paper with a Hemingway quote -- including his advice to "always do sober what you said you'd do drunk; that will teach you to keep your mouth shut."

Chic cocktail lovers can lounge on plush burgundy velvet banquettes or cozy up in the booths to nosh on small plates and sip their Death in the Afternoon or other cocktails named after Hemingway novels and mixed up by bartenders in Prohibition-era threads. The rustic elegance and strong drinks, makes Hemingway's a hangout worthy of its namesake.

There will be complimentary passed appetizers catered by Beso to kick off the night of dynamic networking with our core group of industry professionals. Hemingway's will have a cash bar.

Date: Wednesday, December 10, 2014

Screenwriting Showcase - May 8, 2013
Tuesday, 23 April 2013 01:14
Columbia University Entertainment (CUE) invites you to attend their first annual Screenwriting Showcase!

Join us for a staged reading of ten minute excerpts from each chosen script. Featured scripts and writers won this opportunity through a selection process that began with an all-school and all-program call for entries, and then several rounds of review by a panel of alumni readers.

Following the reading, join us for food and drink, mingling and networking with fellow alums in entertainment as well as invited industry guests.
